Forehand Drive

Forehand Drive

​The forehand straight drive forms the foundation of more advanced strokes.  It is beneficial to practise and develop consistent forehand swing and forehand-related strokes.

 

Hit forehand straight drive and the ball bounces in the service box with consistent racket control.  It's important to make sure the ball lands in the same area within the service box.

​

Repetitive practice recommendation - hit at least 30 times continuously. Easy or not?

Backhand Drive

Backhand drive is also a very important stroke that allows you to control backhand related rallies, return opponent's attacks and turn to offensive position.

​

Hit backhand straight drive and the ball bounces in the service box with consistent racket control.  It's important to make sure the ball lands in the same area within the service box.

​

Figure 8

"Figure 8" is an excellent exercise for ball control.  You can also practise the volley "Figure 8" after you master this stroke exercise. 

 

Hit the ball to the front corners and let the ball comes to you again. Watch out for the route - it forms a figure of 8. Is it cool?

 

It is not difficult to hit more than 100 times when you practise well.  Get moving now!

Forehand Front Corner

This is an advanced practice to practise your forehand swinging speed.  After having the consistent forehand swing and racket control, the next step is to speed up the swinging speed and hit fast and offensive shots on your forehand side.

​

Hit the ball hard to the forehand front corner and let the ball comes to you.  Watch out the ball speed, you need to get ready to hit the next one in a short period of time.

​

Repetitive practice recommendation - hit at least 30 times continuously.  Can you do it?

Demo 4

Backhand Front Corner

This is an advanced practice to practise your backhand swinging speed.  After having the consistent backhand swing and racket control, the next step is to speed up the swinging speed and hit fast and offensive shots on your backhand side.  Most people find it easier to do on the forehand than on the backhand. Don't worry! You can still make it through proper training and practice.

Hit the ball hard to the backhand front corner and let the ball comes to you.  Watch out the ball speed, you need to get ready to hit the next one in a short period of time.

​
